New Materials Production Research Group
The PROMAT is a research group from the Federal University of Western Bahia, focused on the development of new solid-state materials from different synthesis routes. The group also explores theoretical aspects, through the development of molecular and computational models, for the characterization of atomic and spectroscopic properties of molecular systems aiming at applications in ionizing radiation detector, nanothermometers, phosphors with long-lasting luminescence, nanofibers and spintronic. In addition, the group also develops models for the interaction of radiation with matter, in order to optimize the physical and chemical properties of these materials for specific applications.
